Getting started

Try TallyPip with a sample business

Click around a business full of sample customers, invoices, bills and bank transactions before you sign up. It's yours to change, and it's deleted when you leave.

Want to see how TallyPip works before you sign up? Open the sample business: a small services company with a few months of books, ready to click around. No account, no card.

Open it

  1. 1Go to Try a demo (it's in the menu at the top of the website, and on the sign-up page).
  2. 2Press Open the sample business. It takes a few seconds to set up.
  3. 3You land on Home in Brightside Tech Services, with a few ideas of what to try first.

What's in it

  • Customers and invoices: some paid, one part-paid, one overdue, one not due yet and a draft.
  • An estimate waiting for the customer's answer: turn it into an invoice.
  • Bills, expenses and vendors, with a 1099 contractor.
  • Bank transactions to review in Bank transactions: a customer's deposit that matches their invoice, expenses that are already recorded (Match), and new spending to categorize.
  • Reports: profit and loss, balance sheet, who owes you and the rest, from the sample books.

It's yours alone: create invoices, record payments, categorize transactions, change the settings and the invoice look. Nobody else sees it.

What it doesn't do

  • It never emails anyone. Sending an invoice says so; press Download PDF to see what your customer would get.
  • No bank connections, online payments or TallyPip AI. Bank transactions come from the sample statement instead.
  • No account of your own: your profile, team, billing and connected apps are part of signing up.
  • Its online invoices open only for you, so nobody can be sent one.

When you're done

Press Sign up free at the top to start your own books (they start empty, with a free trial), or Leave to go back to the website. Either way the sample business is deleted, with everything you did in it. If you just close the tab, it's deleted after an hour without activity (four hours at most). Open a new one any time: it starts fresh.

Nothing from the sample business comes into your own books. To bring your real numbers over, see Switching from another app.
