Getting started
Your sign-in code
Why TallyPip emails you a 6-digit code when you sign up and each time you sign in.
Your books hold your business's money and your bank connections, so TallyPip asks for two things each time you sign in: your password (or Google or Apple), and a 6-digit code we email you. Someone who learns your password still can't get in without your inbox.
- 1Sign in as usual. TallyPip shows Check your email.
- 2Open the email "123456 is your TallyPip code" from hello@tallypip.com and type the code (pasting it is fine).
- 3Press Continue. When you first sign up, this also confirms your email address.
Each code works for 10 minutes, and only in the browser where you asked for it. After 5 wrong tries, sign in again for a new one.
Didn't get the code?
Check spam or junk, then press send a new code (up to 5 an hour). Still nothing? Make sure you're signing in with the right email, or use Use a different account. You can always reach us at support@tallypip.com.
If you get a code you didn't ask for, someone may know your password. Change it in Settings › Your profile.
