Getting started
Ask TallyPip AI about your books
Ask questions about your numbers or how to do something in TallyPip, in plain words.
Click the blue ✨ sparkle at the top of any page to open TallyPip AI. It opens beside the page, so you can keep working while you ask, and stays open, with your conversation, as you move around or switch to another browser tab, until you close it. ⋮ › New chat starts over; × or Esc closes it. The conversation stays in that browser tab only and is forgotten when you close the tab or sign out. Ask in plain words, for example “What did I spend on fuel last month?”, “Who owes me money?”, “What was my profit this year?” or “How do I reconcile my bank account?”
What it can do
- Answer questions about your own books: income, spending, profit, categories, customers and vendors, unpaid invoices and bills, cash, receipts and trends. Ask follow-ups like “when was that posted?” or “is there a receipt for it?”
- Explain how to do something in TallyPip, from the Help Center.
- Explain bookkeeping terms you see in your reports.
What it won't do
- Change anything: it can only read. It tells you where to make a change.
- Give tax, legal or investment advice. For that, ask your accountant or TallyPip Experts.
- Answer questions that aren't about your books or TallyPip.
Your privacy
TallyPip AI only sees the business you're working in, only while answering you. If you have more than one business, switch to the one you want to ask about with the business switcher at the top. It can't see any other business, conversations aren't saved (switching business clears it), and your data isn't used to train AI. Figures come from what's posted in your books, so transactions still waiting in Bank transactions aren't included yet.
