Getting started
Your firm's team: staff, and who works on which client
Accounting firms: invite your staff, give each person the clients they work on, and choose a lead accountant for each client. Free.
If you run an accounting or bookkeeping firm, your staff can work in TallyPip too, each on the clients you give them. It's free.
Invite your staff
- 1On Clients, choose the Firm team tab at the top (firm owners and firm admins see it).
- 2Under People, type their email, choose Staff or Firm admin, and press Invite.
- 3They get an email to join your firm's team. Once they accept, Clients shows in their menu, under your firm's name.
Staff work on the clients you give them. Firm admins can also invite people and choose who works on which client.
Give someone a client
- 1Under Who works on which client, each of your clients has a chip for each person.
- 2Press a person's chip to give them that client (it turns green with a tick). Press it again to take it away.
- 3Choose the client's Lead: the person who's mainly responsible. It shows on everyone's Clients list, and I'm the lead lists just yours.
Giving someone a client adds them to that client's books as an Accountant. The client sees them in Manage users and in their audit log, and can remove them, like anyone they invite.
Taking someone off your firm's team (Remove), or them leaving it, also takes away the clients the firm gave them. A client's own owner or admins are never touched.
Only clients you look after (as their accountant, or books you set up for them) show here. Staff can't add clients or hand books over; the firm's owner does.
To keep track of who's doing what for each client, and when, use Work: tasks with due dates, and monthly templates that give each client's tasks to its lead.
