Emails from TallyPip: how to tell they're real
Every address TallyPip sends from and what it's for, and how to spot an email that only pretends to be from us.
TallyPip only sends email from addresses ending in tallypip.com (including mail.tallypip.com and news.tallypip.com). These are the addresses we use right now, and what each one sends:
- hello@tallypip.comShows as: TallyPip <hello@tallypip.com>Your account: sign-in codes, confirming your email, password resets, team invitations and notices about your business.Your TallyPip plan: receipts, payment problems, renewal and trial reminders, cancellations and refunds.Replies to messages you send us from Help.
- invoices@mail.tallypip.comShows as: Business name via TallyPip <invoices@mail.tallypip.com>Invoices, estimates, payment reminders and statements that businesses send you through TallyPip. They show the business's name ("Business name via TallyPip"), and replies go to that business.
- news@news.tallypip.comShows as: TallyPip <news@news.tallypip.com>Tips and news from TallyPip, only if you've said yes (unsubscribe at any time).
How to tell an email is really from us
- Look at the address itself, not just the name: it ends in tallypip.com. Anyone can put "TallyPip" as a name.
- Links in our emails go to tallypip.com, or to our payment processor Stripe's secure page when you pay or confirm a payment. Hover over a link to check before you click.
- We never ask for your password, your full card number or your bank login by email, and our support team will never ask for your sign-in code.
- A sign-in code you didn't ask for means someone tried to sign in as you. Don't share it with anyone, and change your password in Your profile if you're worried.
Not sure about an email? Don't click anything in it. Open TallyPip yourself at tallypip.com and check there, or forward the email to support@tallypip.com and we'll tell you if it's real.
Emails from businesses you deal with
Invoices, estimates, reminders, statements and emailed reports are written by the business that sends them, shown as "Business name via TallyPip", and replying writes to that business, not to us. If you didn't expect one, use Didn't expect this email? Let us know at the bottom of it and we'll look into it.
Make sure our emails reach you
Add the addresses above to your contacts or safe senders list. If a sign-in code doesn't arrive within a couple of minutes, check your spam or junk folder, then ask for a new one.
