Sandbox businesses
A sandbox is a free TallyPip business filled with sample books (customers, products, invoices sent, paid and overdue, payments, bills and expenses) to build and try your app against, without touching anyone's real books.
How it works
- It's free and never expires. Sign in with any TallyPip account (or make one; it's free) and make up to 3.
- It works like a real business: the same screens, the same API and webhooks, the same checks and balanced books. Make a key in its Settings › Connected apps;
GET /meanswers"sandbox": true. - To keep it a test, it can't email customers, connect a bank, take online payments or use TallyPip AI, and its online invoices and PDFs say “Sandbox”.
- Delete it whenever you like: it goes at once, with its keys and webhooks. Make a new one for fresh sample books.
- It's for building and testing, not for keeping real books.
